Cycles of Matter
When matter flows through an ecosystem it
is recycled within it, but with energy it flows
in one direction and can be used up and does
not recycle.

My picture displays the carbon cycle. First the carbon starts in the atmosphere and travels to the grass through the sunlight. Next the prairie dog eats the grass and gets the carbon from it for energy. Then the wolf eats the prairie dog. Then through cellular respiration the wolf puts the carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere and the cycle repeats.
